From Pastor Popoff’s Desk…

“…And you shall find a donkey tied, wherein a man has never sat, loose him and let him go..”    Mark 11:2

Believe me, God has a plan to take you from where you are… to WHERE YOU NEED TO BE!  Understand one thing: faith is more than just feeling.  Faith is based on facts!  Our greatest testimony is not just what we say, but WHAT WE LIVEReal faith is not based on feelings, but the Word!  Why?  Because His Word is alive and never changes!  This is why the disciples could look at the same situation and express 4 different opinions!  Just like today, all of us can look at the same scripture and see something different.  Because it’s living!  Yes, it’s alive!  In fact, you can look at it one time and see something… then look at the same scripture again and something else is revealed to you

You must understand one thing: God is not only Omnipotent… but also Omnipresent!  I mean He is never coming or going… HE’S ALWAYS THERE!  And there is nothing going on in your life today He doesn’t know about.  In fact, there is no one on this earth exactly like you; none before you and none after you.   You are an original, one of a kind.  No one has your fingerprints, voice tone, or social security number.  God is so taken up with you He has numbered every hair on your head!  So, when it comes to God’s love for you, He’s really a “Dogmatic Fanatic”.  And He doesn’t take it lightly when someone starts messing with the love of His life!

Let’s examine the text: Jesus was making His last trip to Jerusalem.  He knew He was entering the last hours of His life.  Without a doubt the crowd that walked with Him and surrounded Him numbered into the thousands.  The roar of the crowd, the shouts, the praises were deafening.  This is a man facing agony, pain, rejection, death, and the cruel crucifixion.  Oh, there were many things on His mind.  However, in the back of His mind, HE KNEW where the little donkey was; an untamed donkey, never ridden by man.  Here is a man who walked everywhere He went all His life, but, for His last mile, He would ride this little donkey…

Many times I have watched our President or National Dignitaries as they would visit certain countries or even cities and the motorcade would go on and on.  But Jesus came to town riding on a donkey!  What a contrast!  Now think about this: nowhere in the Bible before Jesus mounted this donkey was he ever mentioned.  And, after Jesus got off his back, he was never mentioned again.  But, while Jesus was using him, HE WAS A HISTORY MAKING DONKEY!  There is a message in this that says, to get where you need to be in life, MAKE SURE JESUS IS ON BOARD!

Jesus told His Disciples, “You will find this donkey in a certain place, at a crossroads, and all tied up.  Loose him and bring him to me.”  Sometimes God will keep certain things or people “tied” to your life for a definite purpose and appropriate moment.  Verse 4 says, the fold was tied “where two ways meet”, at the crossroads of life.  He couldn’t go hee or haw (either way).  Like many today, caught in a state of indecision.  No real happiness or peace of mind, one foot in the church, the other in the world.  Going through the religious motions saying good Lord, good devil.  Jesus said, “Untie that donkey… he’s mine! Nobody else can handle him but me!”  How many today are tied to a broken relationship, messed up marriage, bankrupt business, drug addiction, or a financial disaster?

Consider this:  with everything that was happening around Jesus at that time, He never forgot that little donkey.  His eyes may have been on the sparrow, but His mind was on the donkey.  My friend, regardless of what you are going through or facing today… Jesus KNOWS!  And He doesn’t mind shaking His fist in the devil’s face and saying “He (or she) is mine…LOOSE THEM!”  In fact, this could well be a pivotal time in your life.  God has been preparing you for this moment.  HE’S HAD YOU ON HOLD!  This could well explain why you have been tied to certain things or people you didn’t understand.

Many things you had to go through and suffer and didn’t understand, you will look back and say, “…I see now that all things really worked together for my good.”  LOOSE THAT COLT AND LET HIM GO!”

Debts Cancelled!

Your letter said that there are “Miracle Results” waiting for me. You told me to write what debt I needed to be cancelled and the amount of money I needed. You gave me instructions to follow and I did them. Then, I received a form that I had to file with the IRS. It was a cancellation of debt. I called and talked to a representative and she said my loan was paid off but she didn’t tell me who paid it off. She just said it was paid off! The form said Date Cancelled: 12/31/10 Amount of debt cancelled: $54,685.36!
